Need temporary access to hardware for a presentation, business travel, or while your primary device is being repaired? The Technology Loaner Pool is here to keep you connected and productive.
We provide short-term access to laptops, tablets, for all active employees and students.
The loaner pool operates on a first come first served basis, if there are no loaners available we will maintain a waitlist and when one is available we will let you know.

Checkout Process
To check out a computer from TSPVFA you need to come to our office at Pavilion Room 237 in person to request a computer.
When you come in we will check the available inventory:
- If one is available, we will pack it up and check it out
- If one is NOT available we will get your contact information and when he next computer comes back for it's 2-week check-in we will pull it and contact you that it is available.
FAQ's
2 week default checkout
By default we have a 2 week checkout policy, checked out devices MUST come into the office every 2 weeks for a brief maintainence period and be rechecked out to you if no other requests have been received.
Technology Services vs HIVE
We (Technology Service - PVFA) have devices that run an Operating System (computers, rasperry pi's, etc) where the HIVE has accessories and other things that do not (cameras, hard drives, wacom tablets etc). If you get a request for something we do not have direct them to the HIVE in Langford C 4th floor.
What Software is Installed?
The loaner's come with minimal software pre-loaded: Google Chrome, Microsoft Office and Cisco VPN. AdminByRequest is available for you to install other software as needed. These computers will be fully wiped and re-imaged each time they are returned before being put back in the loaner pool.
What do the loaners come with?
All of our loaners will come with the computer/tablet, power cord and a bag. Additionally iPads all come with an Apple pencil. All of these items are checked before you check it out and you are expected to return all items in good condition.
