This policy is a companion to DC-1. Much of Security Categorization is tied to the Type of Data you have.

University-Confidential and Critical Data Considerations

Encryption

We utilize bitlocker on Windows, FileVault on macOS and unknown encryption process on Linux.

DLP

We utilize Proofpoint DLP across Windows and macOS, unknown Linux. Users are added to automated proofpoint deployment package when we are notified faculty/staff are added to the VAP List which is maintained by TAMU Security.

We do deploy this agent to all of our loaner laptops by default since they are regularly used for travel
