Contingency Plan
Disaster Declaration
A disaster is declared when an event causes a loss of critical IT infrastructure that cannot be resolved within one business day during the workweek (Monday-Friday).
Servers/Services
PVFA does not have a formalized Disaster Recovery Plan. Each of our Services have individual plans associated with them for Recovering in an outage working with our partners, these are detailed in the Service Information Pages.
Physical Work Location
IT Staff all have laptops and if the office is unusable, we will shift to a work from home model until we have a location suitable for us to use. PVFA uses Teams as our primary communication methodology in the event we are not in the office.
Our contacts are maintained as access to the Technology Services – PVFA Team.
Communication Plan
In the event of a Disaster, we will inform College Leadership when the plan is activated.
- Tim McLaughlin (Professor & Dean), timm@tamu.edu
- Sarah McLaughlin (Assistant Dean of Business Services), smclaughlin@tamu.edu
Once we are back to a normal state we will inform the college through the college listserv’s, pvfa-facultyandstaff@lists.tamu.edu.
